Staff

Song Pathways is managed by an Executive Director, who works closely with a team of Teaching Artists to design and deliver high quality music education workshops to youth, adults and educators. The Teaching Artists are professional song writers, musicians and experienced teachers able to engage students of diverse backgrounds and abilities in creative writing and musical activities. Their visits to schools, libraries and regional community groups include an offer of live public performance.

Susanna Carman holds a B.A. in Contemporary Music, a Dip. Ed. in Secondary English, has guest lectured in Vocal Studies at Southern Cross University (NSW), is currently studying Holistic Counselling/Body-based Psychotherapy at the Sophia College in Brisbane, QLD and has been working as a music educator and Primary Music Education Consultant in northern NSW for over a decade. She is also an award winning vocalist and seasoned multi-instrumentalist whose albums and live performances have earned  her praised reviews. www.susannacarman.com 

Sara Tindley - Teaching ArtistSaraTindley 2011_hor

With certificates in Nursing and Community Service, Sara Tindley brings expertise and sensitivity to her roll as a Song Pathways Teaching Artist. She is a singer/song writer with an easy gift for combining the emotional honesty of country music with the unadorned melodies and musicality of the Australian roots and folk scene. Her songs have been placed in several popular T.V. series, including 'East of Everything' and 'Bondi Rescue.' www.saratindley.com

  

Jalalo Macintyre - Teaching Artistjalalo

Jalalo Macintyre is the co-founder of a personal development process called, Songlines, in which singing, song writing and performance are used to help people fulfil their creative and expressive potential. Through her extensive experience as a workshop facilitator and vocal coach, she has developed a unique approach to helping people sing from the heart. She is also an award winning song writer, has toured in Australia, the U.S. and India, and has recorded and performed with Kirtan legends, Miten and Premal.
